Summer ‘91 in Jackson Wyoming

1991 Summer in Jackson,Wyoming

I packed up my 1991 boots, my vintage felt hats, a few dresses, my Wranglers, My Levi’s & my fishing pole and hit the road for Jackson, Wyoming. I’ve been spending the week hanging with friends, sight seeing, taking photos, seeing live music, jumping in rivers, hanging with horses, sleeping in cabins and fishing.

It’s been such a fun adventure!

On my way to Jackson, I stopped in Pinedale, Wyoming at the iconic Cowboy Shop. I brought a few of my hats in there that needed some shaping and then hit the road.

I met up with an incredible wildlife photographer who lives in Jackson, Wyoming named Nick SulZer, he took us on adventures through the tetons and let me stay at a cabin on the ranch he’s live on. The ranch backs up to the snake river and is right outside of the Grand Teton national park. There are wooden cabins all throughout the grounds that were built over 100 years ago. Nick took some photos of me in my 1991 boots in front of one of the cabins on his vintage yamaha. The ranch he lives on is such a special place and is historical to jackson. The owner of the ranch was the first female to ever be inducted into the cowboy hall of fame in Wyoming. She’s pushing 90, but she is such a treat and is a real wyoming cowgirl! I feel so blessed I was able to stay there and get to know The ranch’s history.

Then I stopped in Victor, Idaho to see my favorite cowboy singer, dave stamey, play some music at a private ranch. it was such an incredible place to see Dave Stamey play! It looked like a scene from a western movie set. There were little cowboys and cowgirls riding around on horses, and there were goats and chickens and puppies walking around the crowd. It was such a magical experience! — I’ve been listening to dave stamey’s music for a while now, and to see him play live was a really incredible experience for me.

I also happened to meet up with one of my absolute favorite cowboy photographers, Beau Simmons. He uses a Vintage film camera for all of his photography and it’s beautiful. I was blessed to be able to be photographed by him near the mormon barns right outside Teton national park. If you don’t know his work definitely give him a follow on Instagram!

I then drove 3.5 hours to Big Sky to meet up with Olivia Witt and her friend Mariah who both work at a dude ranch in Montana. When i pulled into the ranch it happened to be open pasture and the ranche’s herd of 150 horses greeted me. it was so unreal, I had to pinch myself! Then us girlies took some photos in the pasture and pet all the horses! <3

Now I’m back home at my farm in Colorado. Feeling so inspired!

The west, is the most magical place in the summer time. Wyoming and montana will forever have my heart.

1991 West Style Guide

While I was in Wyoming i wore my vintage wranglers with a white top and a belt almost everyday paired with my 1991 boots. I also wore this gap X doen floral midi dress and love it! That is the dress I’m wearing in the photo on the motorcylce. I also got some Levi 501 shorts for the hot summer days and it was the perfect pairing for my boots!
